University of Birmingham and The Mercian Trust launch official partnership for educational equity

Yesterday marked the official launch of a tremendously exciting partnership between The Mercian Trust and the University of Birmingham. A unique, in-depth partnership for educational equity and social justice based in co-produced teaching and research.  

It was wonderful to join with colleagues, professionals, Trustees, and students to reflect on the journey so far and look ahead to the significant impact that this research-led approach to educational equity will bring; locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally - creating a fairer world for all students.

The pioneering spirit and shared social values of our two organisations form the bond that underpins this official partnership. As we look to 2025 and beyond we are excited by the possibilities of our three initial projects focussing on #students, #leadership, and #inclusion.
